KKR win IPL5

SRK's IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders won the final IPL match against Chennai Super Kings yesterday - extremely close match and it was Chennai's to lose.
KKR did well even with their captain Gautam Gambhir getting out quickly. And SRK was ecstatic doing cartwheels and madness all around. His beloved Gauri showed up to this match as well - apparently she had told SRK that she would only show p to the IPL match if KKR made it to the finals. A few pictures follow.

Aish at Cannes

Have y'all been keeping up with all the hoopla about our very own Aish's weight-gain?
It looks like the Indian media is going all Jet Lee on poor Aish for not losing the post-pregnancy fat fast enough like Victoria Beckham.  There have been Youtube "breaking news" videos of her double-chin picture with elephant trumpets as background scores. Unkind much?
Anyways, Aish hasn't said much about the whole thing. She appeared in Cannes this past week, a few pictures follow. She does look a little round but its nothing drastic.I mean she just gave birth a few months ago - give it a break! And its her body so its her decision on being rotund or crazy thin!

Mrs Kundra pops

Homewrecker Shilpa Shetty has popped!!
Mrs Kundra gave birth to a healthy baby boy  at the Hinduja Healthcare Surgical Hospital in Mumbai on May 21.
Mommy and baby are doing well and Shilpa took to Twitter to announce the new arrival and nicknamed her baby Baby K mimicking the Bachchan baby nickname (whose name we still don't know a 100%). Raj has let his mother in law pick the alphabet (rashi) for the baby's name after which they will name the baby.
Congratulations to the couple!

Let the blame games begin!!

The much talked about tiff between Sanjay Dutt and RGV is now official after RGV admitted to it in print. Of course, when his latest crap-fest Department was being shot, he called the very same reports a "joke". But now that Department released and died at the box office, he has no qualms about admitting that there was a problem. In his own words -

Whatever else happening to Department I am supremley happy tht I don’t nd 2 see the faces of Sanjay dutt nd Dharam uberoi fr rest of my life. 
Frm forcing me 2 take kangana out of the film 2 constantly cornering me 2 change screenplay I had the most horrible time wrking wth Dutt. 

He also did an interview with Mumbai Mirror where he gave some pretty strong statements. 

I am not blaming anyone except myself. The biggest mistake I made was to go to an actor as unprofessional and as unimaginably erratic as Dutt.

he problems were innumerable, ranging from Dutt’s coming late to last-minute cancellation of shoots and schedules to erratically wanting to change the content of scenes in the name of creative discussions that are not to be confused with mindless interference. Aamir and me had creative differences during Rangeela but I didn’t pay heed to the mistakes he pointed out. Despite Rangeela becoming a blockbuster, when I saw the film much later, I felt I had gotten away with the mistakes that he had pointed out. I genuinely believe Rangeela would have been a bigger hit had I listened to Aamir. The difference being Aamir’s suggestions and observations came from a long and intense deliberation on his part and not like Dutt who was blurting out without thinking, encouraged by the likes of Dharam who pander to him for their personal benefits.

Wow! His side of the story looks bad! 

And it looks like Jr Bachchan recommended Sanjay when RGV first approached him for the role so RGV now blames him for RGV's bad decision!

....the truth is that when Abhishek was supposed to do Rana’s role, it was he who convinced me about Dutt against my better judgement. Later on, he couldn’t do the film and I was left with Dutt. So I definitely blame Abhishek for making me go through this though it was unintentional on his part.

Mrs Farah Khan in preparation for her acting debut in A film opposite Boman Irani. Of cours Shirish Kunder's wife doesn't want to admit it. Not the fact that she did get a little nip and tuck done. She admits that without hesitation. Just the fact that she did it for the film. This is the crappy reason she gave for doing it -
I did not do it to pursue my acting aspirations, otherwise I would have done it before the film’s shoot began. It is just that as I had delivered triplets, my tummy was hanging. There was no way any amount of exercise and diet would help. It is something that I wanted to do for personal reasons. As I currently had time on hand, I went for it after doing extensive research on it. Yea right! It just happened to coincide with her acting debut! Accept it - everyone in Bollywood does it, no biggie!

So I've been away for a while and so much has happened since then. Ishaqzaade released and Arjun "I did malaika" kapoor's debut wasn't as note worthy since his co star parineeti "look at all my awards yaar" chopra won all the praise for the crazy movie. Dangerous ishhq released the same weekend and received mixed reviews..some reviewers loved karishma's work while others called it the usual-over-the-top stuff. Did you watch either film? Turns out Parineeti Chopra isn't the stud she wants everyone to think she is.
So Parineeti "Look at all my awards" Chopra and Arjun "Yep! I did Malaika" Kapoor were at a mall in Lucknow to promote their upcoming Ishaqzaade. 
When they showed up, people didn't quite recognize them and didn't really care about them. Then they saw the heavy security detail surrounding them and to satisfy their curiosity got closer to figure out who the heck had more security than Obama.
When one of the people figured out who the "Celebrities" were, he commented - Oh....yeh toh Arjun and Parineeti hain! Security dekh ke toh laga Amitabh ya Aishwarya aa gaye hain mall mein.


Parineeti was finally relieved when she found a fan who wanted her autograph.The relief didn't last long coz thy couldn't really drum up any crowd. So they decided to cancel a little jig they had prepared and instead smiled, waved and left.
I guess all those awards don't mean a thing - no one from the public gives a hoot about her!! Must have hurt that ego real bad!!

Ashton Kutcher (apparently) offends Bollywood

This isn't really Bollywood but it involves making fun of Bollywood so here goes.
Ashton Kutcher appeared in an ad for Popchips and WorldWideLovers where he appears as 4 different candidates looking for love.
One of those candidates is a Bollywood producer who loves snooki and wants a girl like Kim Kardashian.
People apparently complained about the ad calling it racist; not sure why. Its a funny take on Bollywood and people just need to loosen up.

Trouble letting go

It looks like Bipasha "I don't need John" Basu didn't take the news of John possible getting married to his latest squeeze Priya later this year very well.
She gave an interview in which she basically first didn't acknowledge him and then subtly called him out on cheating on her. Excerpts below - 



John has announced he plans to get married this year...
I'm sorry, my memory span is very short. I only remember people I've met three months ago. I don't remember anybody before that!


Are you happy for him?
Yes, of course! It's good if people have intentions to settle down. I congratulate him in a heartfelt way.


Are you in touch with him?

Can exes remain friends?
Yes, exes can be good friends, but after a certain time. Though no break-up is a good break-up, time heals everything, including broken friendships. It also depends on the kind of people they are, their mindsets and the reasons for the break ups. But cheating, infidelity and deceit are generally tough to forgive, and in those cases, real friendship is not possible.

Amitabh Bachchan on working with the woman who nearly wrecked his family Rekha.
The words had barely left his mouth and his wife Jaya found out then that her seat in parliament is #91- a little too close for comfort to Rekha's #99. Which means that they'd probably be captured on print and film within the same frame encouraging more gossip about the 2.
Anyways, Jaya demanded asked  for a change of seats to #143 to avoid the brouha and all is now apparently well.
The saga never ends - its been umpteen years, you guys. Grow up and let it go!

Celebrity Cricket Match in Mumbai - Pictures

The Rotaract club in Mumbai organized a celebrity cricket match with proceeds donated to charity and a bunch of celebrities showed up to support the cause. 
Salman made an appearance which means SRK didn't - and SRK only shows up at KKR matches at IPL waiting to get into trouble for publicly smoking and making an appearance only when he knows he has money at stake.
