Unveiling the walk of fame

The much talked about (UTV) Bollywood Walk of Fame was kicked off by the unveiling of Raj Kapoor's statue and the tiles for the Kapoor clan. 
Ms "I can do it all" Kareena unveiled her grandfather's statue along with daddy Randhir Kapoor. And of course, this being a UTV event Madhur tagged along (see what I said earlier about keeping his damn film in the news??) to unveil the tiles that will be placed on the walk. Great timing UTV and Madhur!!
They unveiled the tiles for the Prithviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Sunil and Nargis Dutt.


So a few glaring things here - 
Why weren't any of the other Kapoors present? What did Rishi and Ranbir have to do that was so important? Couldn't Ranbir put off a smush session?
And why didn't Sunil or any of the Dutts actually unveil the Dutt tiles?? Wouldn't it make more sense?? UTV didn't pay him enough to make an appearance??

Madhur Bhandarkar is doing everything possible to keep his troubled Heroine in the news. Gotta keep the hype going!


Kareena mus have him by the neck coz he announced recently that he's planned for an item number on Kareena for his film called "Halkat Jawaani". There is no way Madhur did not see Kareena's TERRIBLE mujra in Agent Vinod. The only other explanation is Kareena wanting to do more item numbers and pushing this want onto poor Madhur who not wanting to screw over his beloved project is bending backwards and all over to fulfill Kareena's  insane demands. The woman can't dance - someone needs to knock it into her! Her acting is better than her dancing - thats how bad her dancing is!! 


So get set for Ms Kareena "I can do it all" Kapoor herself showing off her "Halkat Jawaani" in the next little while. Look at how comfortable she looks in the picture above - what a pleasure it is going to be to watch her attempt to dance!

Speaking of Salman....

Remember Angela Johnson? She was in the news for being a Kingfisher model and then catching Ranbir Kapoor's attention (he's always on the prowl for fresh meat). Her relationship with Ranbir fizzled (he gets bored real soon, Deepika will tell you that) and she was back to being a nobody. 


So Salman Khan at the time rose to her rescue (notice how he always seems to do this with hot women half his age?) and said he was going to launch her in one of his films (Sher Khan) - someone's gotta fill in Katrina's seat now that she's flown to better things. 


Anyways, that might be off the table now coz Angela went ahead and did a commercial for Coke with South actor Mahesh Babu! Ahh, the audacity to make her own decisions! Unheard of!
Salman is ticked off that she did the ad coz he wanted her out of the media until the film's promos and marketing.
And this defeats his purpose. Maybe Angela should've talked to Mr Oberoi before if she wanted Salman on her side. Or perhaps she got tired of waiting or was ticked off that he told her not to smush Tiger Shroff and so decided she had a head on her shoulders and she wanted to use it!!

Winding down for the day

So Agent Vinod didn't do as badly as everyone thought it would.
And Saifu heaving a sigh of relief decided he wants to turn it into a money making franchise churning out a few films going the Dabanng and the Ra.One route (hopefully SRK abandons the idea. Ra.One was more painful to watch than Dabanng).


Gotta pay for Bebo's poodles and Louis Vuittons somehow!!
He's told his director to start working on a sequel to this film already - give the guy a break already!
I haven't watched Agent Vinod yet so I don't want to comment on how painful it was in comparison to Dabanng and Ra.One - although I can't imagine anything being as painful as Ra.One.

Salman Steroid Khan made extra provisions to NOT run into ex-flame Ash's hubby Abhishek at Mona Kapoor's funeral earlier today. He got to the location and then twiddled his thumbs in his vanity van for about half hour before his minions reported back saying Abhishek had left the venue. Then he decided to make an appearance and show his sad-face.

Turning 34 in London

Rani Mukherji turned 34 last week and she celebrated her birthday with long time smush buddy Aditya Chopra, his daddy Yash Chopra and SRK in London. They had a quiet dinner. Aditya is in London producing daddy dearest's next mush-fest with SRK and Katrina.
Looks like Rani is pushing further into the Chopra family - Yash and Pam must be forcing themselves to like her considering they still like Adi's first wife and are close to her. Rani's got Adi by the collar so he wasn't going anywhere whether his parents agreed to their relationship or not.
Another couple probably going to tie the knot by the end of the year!

Celina becomes mommy

The woman who thinks she is in the league of Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie Celina Jaitley with husband Peter Haag welcomed twin boys this past weekend. They named them right away unlike a certain family we know who created a big fuss before naming their newest addition. If you live under a rock, I am talking about the Bachchan family.
Anyways Celina and Peter named their sons Winston and Viraaj. 
So many Bollywood babies! And strangely, all the mommies have been winners at beauty pageants. So maybe Aish, Lara and Celina will get together for a playdate soon..

Mona Kapoor passes away

Arjun Kapoor (Boney Kapoor's son with his first wife before Sridevi played homewrecker) had some reason to celebrate when he received a decent response to the trailer for his upcoming Ishaqzaade. He'd been caught fooling around with Malaika Arora Khan after which the Khan-daan stepped in and told him to get lost if he didn't want to get beat up. With Ishaqzaade, people now focused on more positive than negative re him.


However, Arjun now has reason to mourn coz his mom succumbed to cancer yesterday. She was supposed to have surgery earlier today and her kids sent out messages asking people to donate O+ blood to help out. However, it was too late and she suffered failure of multiple organs and lost her vital signs yesterday. Her funeral was held this morning. Bollywood attended to pay their respects. Sridevi of course stayed away from the entire thing.


Condolences to the Kapoor family....this is the second tragedy after Boney's father Surinder Kapoor passed away a few months ago.
