What I missed in 2 weeks (in a nutshell)

Vidya Balan and Tushar Kapoor faced off when their Kahaani and Chaar Din Ki Chandni released together on March 9. Tushar of course is no competition for Vidya (or anyone for that matter) and Kahaani reigned at the box office. Another success for Vidya "The Khans need ME" Balan.

Apparently Aamir Khan watched Kahaani and flipped out thus postponing the release of his Talaash to November 2011 thus clashing with SRK's film with Katrina (name the damn film already!!) and Ajay's Son of Sardar. Sure that puts more pressure on SRK to deliver - he's been having rotten luck lately! And between an Aamir and an SRK movie, Aamir wins hands down!!

Kareena Kapoor getting set to get crappy reviews for Agent Vinod gave a stupid-ass interview in which she basically slammed working with the Khans (she's forgotten that all she's done in the past couple of years is movies with the Khans) and how she doesn't get any credit or fee when compared to her Khan-stars. She chose to be an accessory in all those Khan-films! I really want to see Agent Vinod now - if she does there what she's done in other Khan-films, maybe that's all she's good for!! I mean, if Saifu darling can't give her a meaningful role other than tag her along as an accessory, says something, right?
She then went on to call Vidya Balan the "Hero of 2011" (she did win the National Award after all) and trying to keep Heroine in the news parted with -
for a change it is fun not standing behind or beside Shah Rukh or Salman
Well, she can't make fun of Aamir - After all that complaining, she is still doing Talaash with him!

Sachin hit his most awaited 100 centuries in International Cricket thus creating one more record for future cricketers to break and adding another feather to his over crowded cap. Bollywood (and pretty much everyone) congratulated him on Facebook and Twitter

India's very own queen of controversy Rakhi Sawant visited Parliament last week coz she wanted to see how things work there. Don't tell me she is thinking of politics - she hasn't been doing much lately but politics? Really?? Can you imagine a country run by Rakhi Sawant? Swayamvars would become the law and b00b jobs would be considered an essential health service!!

Aish apparently has ample time from her motherly duties which she does by herself without any help BTW (and we all know how easy that is!) and so has decided to participate in India's Glam Diva contest - the winner is chosen by public voting. Her competitors are Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Sania Mirza, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Sunidhi Chauhan, Bipasha Basu, Ekta Kapoor (yea she is talented but her terrible sense of dressing should disqualify her right there!), Sonakshi Sinha (hopefully people don't vote for her taking her forehead into account), Frieda Pinto and Shruti Hassan (really?? For what??)

Madhuri unveiled a creepier version of herself at Madame Tussads in London. That statue looks nothing like her - in fact it looks like Madhuri had really terrible plastic surgery done!! Poor Madhuri now joins the poor souls whose horrible replicas sit at Madame Tussads!

Ra. One is back in the news again. SRK was miffed with everyone coz Ra.One and his character were shot down by every award show possible. So he got the Indian Government to give Ra.One the National Award for the special effects used in the film. Apparently effects used in a 1990s video game are award worthy in 2012!!
