The Indian government in a bid to look "open" allowed TV journalists to film legislature proceedings from the visitor's balcony. Little did they know that their own ministers would cause them to wish they never made that decision.
In Karnataka while the house was going about its daily business, Ministers Laxman Savadi and CC Patil decided they had had enough of the day's proceedings and proceeded instead to entertain themselves by looking at porn on ANOTHER minister - J Krishna Palemar's phone!
Get this though - Patil is minister of Women and Child Development. How appropriate!!
They first checked a few times to make sure no cameras were pointed towards them and then when the coast looked clear decided to entertain themselves. Little did they know that cameraman Srinivasan Kulkarni had been quietly monitoring their weird behavior and decided he wanted in on what they were doing.
The ministers were also watching a rave party at St Mary's Island where everything from drugs to all kinds of sex was going on which (ironically) was sponsored by the state government to "promote tourism". Ha!
So anyways, news channels broadcast the video of them shirking duty in favor of recreation and BJP leader threw a fit and made them resign. Their families must be so proud.
I am sure Congress had a field day laughing their butts off at the gaffe!
